Charles de Steuben

Charles de Steuben ( Bauerbach, Turingia - Paris, 18 de abril de 1788^[a]​ - 21 de noviembre^[2]​ de 1856)^[4]​^[b]​ fue un pintor de género histórico y retratista francés.^[4]​ Aunque nacido en Baden,^[3]​ pero marchó primero con su padre —Carl Ernst von Steuben—^[1]​ a Rusia;^[3]​ terminaría estudiando en París.^[3]​ Se casó con la pintora parisina Eléonore Trollé en 1820.^[6]​ Fue enterrado en el cementerio del Père-Lachaise de París, en la 51^e division.^[7]​
